A participatory mixed-media installation
that questions our position in the world and perceptions about
our relation to the natural environment. Upon reading of a
title plaque, viewers are enticed to enter the space/place
that includes a maze configuration of water troughs with live
chia trees and a raised throne in the middle. The perimeter
of the space is defined by a circle of extremely white grow
lights. After wandering the maze of miniature trees, the viewer
sits on the throne, a sensor activates a motor which slowly
turns the chair (viewer) one revolution then stops. The viewer
is in a position of being the center of the universe on this
slow revolution; the perspective is looking down upon the
forest with the sun in the background.
