Stereoscopic Paintings
Some of the paintings in this series are
literally stereoscopic, so that if looked at correctly, (or
with the aid of a special mirrored viewer) they fuse into
a single 3-D image. Because they are hand-painted rather than
photographic, the inherent inaccuracies induce all kinds of
strange spatial anomalies. Obviously, most of these paintings
play with the implications of double vision without actually
being stereo images. |
