2001 two-chambered installation at Big Orbit Gallery, Buffalo, NY. Ice room: 36'x30', styrofoam floes, acrylic, glue, clay slip, reflective glass bead, mylar lettering of altered phrases from 1901 Pan American Exposition, motorized figure skates, theater lights, glycerin, 19th Century ice pick, 28' CD audio loop of a Zamboni in action with whispered phrases from torturers' lexicons such as "the only words are my words". Audio/Visual: 19'x8', Commercial ice freezer, ice trays filled with frozen blood, walls covered with egg carton insulation, 4' diameter iron pan above propane flame to sizzle blood ice cubes, CD audio loop of children's taunts digitally lowered to adult pitch.
