As a staple crop its history is intertwined with western civilization. Popularized in Europe after having been "discovered" in the English colonies in North America, this nutritious and adaptable vegetable has been perhaps overlooked for its beauty and its legend.

 

The objective of the Potato Stories project was to disseminate potato plants, information and stories about the potato.
