collaboration with Fereshteh Toosi

Our project was inspired by the original Boston Tea Party, a direct action protest. We hoped to recall the spirit of the Tea Party Resistance to examine present day struggles. Globalization, gentrification and the so-called "War on Terror" are contemporary versions of colonialism. Referencing the early colonists' creative act of defiance was a way to instigate conversations about current domestic security conflicts and the 2004 presidential election.
