Feet of Clay

2003

Twelve life-size pairs of feet made from unfired porcelain clay were placed together in a group on the lawn of Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh. During the duration of the exhibition, rains dissolved these sculptures back into small piles of clay.

No matter what stature we may think we have in life, posthumously we will be shown to have feet of clay. (From Daniel 2:33)
